Centralized Intake Department(CID):

Entry point for all clinical outpatient services including Dual Recovery Program (DRP) and Continuing Day Treatment Program (CDT). Anyone without insurance will need proof of income (pay stubs, W-2) and should be prepared to pay as determined by sliding scale.

Walk-in intake weekdays beginning at 7:30 a.m. Information required at intake includes:

  • Insurance card
  • Medicaid card or Medicaid pending letter

Allow at least two hours for intake which includes a 1:1 session with an intake counselor. Participants will return within two weeks to receive their clinic recommendation and begin the clinical process. Recommendations are made by the CNYS treatment team which includes our nurse, psychiatrist, outpatient supervisors, intake counselors and CID supervisor.

Walk in assessments are done on a first come, first served basis. Complete clinic referral form before visiting CID. Download form and fax to: (315) 478-2510 or email to CID@cnyservices.org.

Dual Recovery Program(DRP)

This NYS Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) Licensed Chemical Dependency Clinic offers Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment for chemical dependency and mental health issues. Serves individuals with co-occurring disorders or primary chemical abuse or dependency. Group therapies encompass all stages of change and are constantly updated to meet the needs of our consumers.

Services include but are not limited to the following:

  • A range of specialized group therapy sessions selected for each individual
  • 1:1 sessions with counselors
  • Individualized treatment planning
  • Peer Mentoring opportunities
  • Specialized programming including family therapy, forensic and DWI programming.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening programming available Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Access this program through our Centralized Intake Department (CID).

Continuing Day Treatment Program(CDT):

This NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) Licensed program offers adults Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment for mental health and chemical dependency issues in a group setting. Serves individuals with co-occurring disorders or primary mental health issues. Group therapies encompass all stages of change and are constantly updated to meet the needs of our consumers. Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Screening and Diagnosis
  • Individualized treatment planning
  • Medication Management
  • Health and Wellness
  • Relapse Prevention
  • Anger Management
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Building
  • Vocational Education

The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entrance located at front of building. Contact: (315) 478-2030. Access this program through our Centralized Intake Department (CID) located in Suite 23.

Choices: Adolescent & Young Adult Outpatient Substance Abuse Service

Choices serves adolescents and young adults with serious emotional and behavioral challenges. The program provides an outpatient substance abuse treatment clinic for individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders or other life issues.

Choices is based on the Seven Challenges Program, which was designed specifically for adolescents with drug problem. The focus is on motivating a decision and commitment to change. The idea is to meet individuals where they are in their life stage, works to support them, and strives for honesty and engagement.

University Hospital Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC):

CNYS provides services to HIV positive individuals with a history of substance abuse issues.
