Financial Management Unit (FMU):

Our Financial Management Unit (FMU) is a person-centered service providing financial assistance to Onondaga County residents. Consumers may choose us to act as their Representative Payee for their Social Security benefits or be assigned to our service. FMU assists with crafting personalized financial plans, unique to each individual, ensuring financial obligations are met while budgeting for personal spending and coping with a range of financial issues.

FMU services are documented and provided in conjunction with the regulations of the Social Security Administration.

Employment Assistance:

Assisted Competitive Employment Program (ACE):
Assists dually diagnosed individuals obtain jobs in the community which pay at least the federal minimum wage. Focus on long-term, competitive positions. Utilizes the IPS model for rapid placement. Program covers job readiness; provides job supports prior to and after obtaining employment; benefit planning; transportation and work wardrobe. Criteria: Only open to individuals who are dually diagnosed with mental health and substance abuse issues. Download form and fax to: (315) 295-2031.

LIVES:
Employment program working in conjunction with Adult Career and Continuing Education Services – Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR). Provides 1:1 assistance for individuals with mental, emotional, physical or learning disabilities seeking employment opportunities. Criteria: Must be TANF or Safety Net Families Maintenance of Effort (SNF MOE). Referrals limited to JOBSplus! or the NYS Department of Social Services.
