The
Shelter Plus Care program assists individuals residing in Oneida County in the
maintenance of stable housing through the provision of rental subsidies and
security deposits. Criteria for admission to the program include income level,
and a substance abuse or dependence diagnosis. The subsidy is provided to
individuals who access and participate in treatment services within the
community. Clients are thereby assisted in their recovery through this linkage
of treatment and residential assistance.
