Milestones offers assistance with recovery for adults and adolescents dealing with chemical dependence and mental health issues. Licensed by New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), our services include evaluations, screenings, and individualized treatment planning. Individual and group therapies, which encompass all stages of change, are constantly updated to meet the needs of our consumers.
We offer psychiatric assessments and Medication Supported Recovery including Suboxone Replacement Therapy (for the treatment of opiate dependence), and Oral Naltrexone (Revia) or Injectable Naltrexone (Vivitrol) as a preventive treatment for both alcohol and opiate dependent individuals who have already detoxed and wish to protect their sobriety.
Other specialized services include, DWI, Support Groups, Young Adult, Adolescent (Seven Challenges program), LGBT, Family, and Forensic. We offer free Narcan training for both clients and the public.
Information required at intake includes: Insurance card, Medicaid card, or Medicaid pending letter. Those without insurance will need proof of income (pay stubs, W-2) and should be prepared to pay as determined by a sliding scale.
Walk-ins assessments are available Monday - Thursday starting at 8:00 a.m. Simply stop into our office with the required paperwork.

Landmark Opioid Treatment Program
LANDMARK, located just outside downtown Utica on the Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center campus, is a state-of-the-art New York State OASAS (Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services) licensed opioid treatment program that specializes in assisting the recovery efforts of those struggling with substance abuse, specifically opioids. Our highly trained, caring, and experienced staff is comprised of credentialed and licensed healthcare and behavioral health care professionals. Treatment is based on individual patient needs and will consist of an array of person-centered, holistic services to support people in finding long-term recovery. We utilize evidenced-based practices such as Stages of Change, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment.
At Landmark, patients will have medication options of Methadone, Suboxone, and Vivitrol, all of which have proven effective in treating opioid addiction. Patients will work closely with their team to create the best treatment plan for a successful recovery. Treatment plans include Individual Counseling and Therapeutic Group Counseling (including but not limited to Early Recovery, Relapse Prevention, Life Skills, Anger Management, Stress Reduction, and Healthy Relationships).
