Dual Recovery Program (DRP)

This NYS Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) Licensed Chemical Dependency Clinic offers Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment for chemical dependency and mental health issues. We serve individuals with co-occurring disorders or primary chemical abuse or dependency. Group therapies encompass all stages of change and are constantly updated to meet the needs of our consumers.

Services include but are not limited to the following:

  • Medically Assisted Treatment (Suboxone/Vivitrol
  • Evaluations and assessments for substance abuse and mental health issue
  • Individual counselin
  • Therapeutic groups including, but not lim-ited to: Early Recovery, Relapse Prevention, Dual Focused Recovery, Life Skills, Parenting in Recovery, Healthy Relationships, Anger Management, Spirituality, Criminal and Ad-dictive Thinking, Stress Reduction, Seeking Safety, and Steps to Recover
  • Adolescent therap
  • Psychiatric assessment
  • Medication managemen
  • DWI assessments and treatmen
  • Evening appointment
  • Coordination of care with other provider
  • Discharge plannin
  • Referrals for appropriate level of care

Walk-in intakes will be accommodated Monday – Thursday beginning at 8:00 a.m. on a first come, first served basis. Appointments are available by calling (315) 478-0610. An insurance card, Medicaid card, or Medicaid pending letter is required. Those without insurance are asked to bring proof of income (pay stubs, W-2) and be prepared to pay as determined by a sliding scale.

The intake process involves paperwork and a brief screening to determine a participant's suitability for our program. Recommendations for the DRP are made by the CNYS treatment team which includes our nurse, psychiatrist, outpatient supervisors, and intake counselors.

Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS)

Licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), PROS (Personalized Recovery Oriented Services} is a comprehensive recovery-oriented model of care for individuals with severe and persistent mental health conditions and/or substance abuse issues. This evidence-based approach allows treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to be fully integrated. The PROS model emphasizes restoring the skills and supports necessary for participants to live independently, and assisting in the achievement of specific life roles and goals such as furthering education or securing employment.

Choices: Adolescent & Young Adult Outpatient Substance Abuse Service

Choices serves adolescents and young adults with serious emotional and behavioral challenges. The program provides an outpatient substance abuse treatment clinic for individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders or other life issues.

Choices is based on the Seven Challenges Program, which was designed specifically for adolescents with a drug problem. The focus is on motivating a decision and commitment to change. The idea is to meet individuals where they are in their life stage, work to support them, and strive for honesty and engagement.
